Frequently asked questions
1. What is The Notary’s Legal Bridge?
A warm, plain-language training that helps notaries understand the legal world they interact with every day — without turning them into paralegals or overwhelming them with jargon.
2. Is this training for new or experienced notaries?
Both. If you’re brand-new, this will give you clarity and confidence. If you’re experienced, this will fill in the gaps you’ve always felt but could never quite name.
3. Is this the same as becoming a paralegal?
No. This training does not make you a paralegal and does not teach you to perform paralegal duties.
4. Why do notaries need legal support knowledge?
Because you see legal documents every single day — affidavits, powers of attorney, court forms, real estate paperwork, and more. Having a solid foundation in legal support knowledge empowers notaries to navigate these documents with confidence and accuracy. It enhances your ability to recognize important details, understand the context, and communicate effectively with attorneys and clients. This knowledge not only protects you from potential liability but also elevates your professionalism, making you an invaluable resource in any legal setting.
5. Is the training live or recorded?
The very first training is live and in person. Future sessions will be offered live via Zoom. Recordings will be available.
6. Where is the live training held?
The inaugural training will be held at St. James Church, 11524 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills (Pittsburgh), PA 15235.
7. Will I get a recording if I miss something?
Yes — all participants will receive access to the recording for review.
8. Do I need prior legal experience?
Not at all. Everything is explained in simple, everyday language.
9. Will this help me work with attorneys?
Yes. Attorneys value notaries who understand legal workflow, document types, and professional boundaries.
10. How long is the training?
Approximately 90 minutes. The live session is a structured, guided experience designed to give you clarity in one powerful sitting.
11. What makes this different from other notary trainings?
